Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Review

Whilst the Urban Decay Naked palettes have been coming thick and fast, I was particularly excited about getting my mitts on the latest release - the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette.

I was intrigued by the fact that half of the shades are neutral and half of the shades are more 'out of my comfort zone' grey toned colours which I was kind of hoping would push me to try new things.

Here it is in all it's glory...

My favourite shades are dirtysweet, radar and smolder. I surprised myself with Smoulder actually. Normally bronzey neutrals are my thaaaang but this gorgeous deep plum taupe is just stunning to wear as long as you don't go too cray on the rest of your makeup.

The shades are:

High - a shimmery champagne colour which is gorgeous for the inner corners and brow bone.
Dirtysweet - a medium bronze that has a subtle yellow undertone
Radar - a taupe with really fine glitter.
Armor - Definitely one shade I am toooo afraid of trying - silvery shimmery eyeshadowy thingy.
Slanted - A metallic grey which borderlines on silver. Again, hell's terrified of it.
Dagger - A dark grey with blue undertones. I wore this once, I felt like cruella de-vil but mainly because I didn't notice the blue undertones until I had applied it pretty heavily. Makeup FAIL!
Black Market - A satin black - ideal for the outer corners.
Smolder - The bee's knees in a pan. Just sayin
Password - A mocha taupey shade. And the prize for worst way of explaining things goes to...
Whiskey - A rich matte brown. Love this for brows!
Combust - Pink Taupe shade, ideal for "no makeup" days
Thirteen - A light satin beige which looks amazing all over the lid, particularly if you're doing some liquid liner.

As always with the Urban Decay naked palettes, the pigmentation is incredible and lasts on the lids all day long, particularly if you use a good primer. I would say that with the more shimmery shades, some of the glitter can be a teeny tiny bit gritty if that makes sense.

The best new addition to the latest naked palette is the brush. I love that it is double ended and does a whole lot more than previous ones have. I would even consider buying this brush separately from the palette.

What looks would you like to see me try out with the palette? What are your thoughts on it?
