Hi, I'm Holly.

A 32-year old Scottish Lass with a love for highlight, heels and homeware.

Last night, I wrote a post where I talked about how it's okay to talk to yourself. A lot of you seemed to like it and seeing as it's Mental Health Awareness Week, I thought I'd write another post, this time talking about how it's okay to be unsure.

Indecisiveness and being unsure of situations/people might not seem like it relates to mental health but it is, and if you're like me who struggles with uncertainty on a daily basis, then you'll agree with me that it is impacting on our lives and can really affect how we live.

Guess what though? we all go through phases in our lives where we feel that way, where we question everyone and every situation. It's okay to be unsure. It's human nature to question things, and as long as that doesn't impact your life negatively, where your mind isn't racing with fear and uncertainty, then you needn't worry about seeking advice.

On the other hand, if you're like so many other people where you can't function or make any small decisions, then you might consider seeing a GP to get some help.

Like I mentioned yesterday, you're perfectly 'normal' and just because you might need some help, that doesn't mean you're any different to anyone else. Trust me when I say I've received hundreds of comments from my followers thanking me for distracting them from their everyday lives because their whole life feels uncertain. Every decision they make is met with hesitation and every person they meet is filled with hesitation which leads to them feeling 'closed off' and distant.

I've personally been there. There's a million and one reasons why we go through phases like that in our lives, but one thing is for sure, it's okay to be unsure.

If you need help, reach out! whether that be to a friend, family or GP. You can even chat anonymously to people who are here to help.

  7. Holly this is such an important post! It's posts like this that really prove how viral the blogging community is, because by reading about others' experiences of mental health, people out there will feel less alone and more supported and acknowledged! I've gone through massively uncertain times in my life too, and knowing that you're not the only one going through it is a massive comfort!

  10. This is such a good post! Recently my life hasn't been going quite as I thought I would and it's definitely left me feeling very unsure and uncertain about a lot of things. Fortunately it isn't impacting me massively, just giving me a lot of sleepless nights and bad moods. But I definitely have to keep in mind that this is something that a lot of people go through

  11. Another great post, Holly, very thoughtful and insightful! Mental well-being is very important; it doesn't always have to be a clinical issue, but it's good to know that certain things are 'normal', we all go through it from time to time.
