I was lucky enough to be sent the Winky Lux ASOS Exclusive Flower PH Balm Set for review consideration from Asos Beauty and after seeing a lot of you lot on Twitter (my social stalking platform of choice LOL!) rave about the Winkly Lux brand, I wanted to tell you (brag) about it.
PACKAGING
These xome packaged with tissue paper inside a gold metallic bag. The products themself look like little pink and gold bullets. Once opened, the 'lipsticks' are clear with a little coloured flower on the inside. One flower is Green, one is Pink and the other is Yellow. Not gunna lie, I wanted to break one just to see what the little flowers were like - Yes, I am that nosy!
SCENT
These smell coconutty, which for me was a little bit conflicting. I had hopes that these were going to be somewhat floral because of the little flower on the inside. The coconut smell is pleasant without being overpowering and we all know how good coconut oil is for skin and all that yeehaw.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
These are clear to look at but are PH balanced which means it adapts individually to your lips to give you a customised shade of pink. I expected the three shades to be different but was a little bit disappointed to find they all give the same result which is a balmy tectured pink tint. I actually really like the finish of the product and how nourishing it is on my lips but I would have preferred these to each be a wee bit different. Variety is the spice of life and all that.
OVERALL
I think the product itself is brilliant and if I ran out of the three of them, I'd be tempted to repurchase one full sized version, but I don't think I'd repurchase the set of three.
