Windle & Moodie

Recently, I went to Browns in Dumfries to meet with Nelson (Click HERE to check out his Instagram) to discuss a blogger opportunity where I would be reviewing his services - We'll get to the Pole dancing lessons later. (I'm kidding!).

The whole meeting went BRILLIANTLY. Everyone was so nice!

Whilst I was there, Nelson introduced me to Windle & Moodie and taught me a few things about the brand. Windle & Moodie is a brand created by masterminds Paul Windle and Neil Moodie. Nelson is the educational ambassador for the brand and as such was able to tell me everything I needed to know about the brand. I was lucky enough to be send a few items to try out for myself and using the information that Nelson had given me, I was excited to try them out.

Enter the Windle and Moodie Ultra Nourishing Treatment Shampoo & Conditioner.

Firstly about the brand itself.  ALL of the Windle & Moodie shampoo's have NO suplhates, propylene glycol, silicones or parabens. All 100% Vegan.

Nelson pre-warned me that this smells incredible and I'd be smelling my hair all day long.  He was 100% right. It's not overly perfumed or overpowering but it smells like how I would expect Kate Middleton's hair to smell (that's not weird, right!? haha!) but it lasts for aaaages (I could still smell it three days on).

Dermatologically tested, the Ingredients include White Tea (Highest levels of antioxidants), Tahitian Monoi Oil (Adds Lustre, Suppleness & Vitality), Baoab and Babassu Oils (Strengthen & Soften hair). The products are Vegan (Yes, you read that right!) and Nelson told me it took three years for Windle & Moodie to perfect the formula which made me feel pretty confident I was using a product that the creators worked hard for.

HOW DID THEY PERFORM?

When I first applied this to my hair, I admit I was worried it wasn't lathering as well as I find with drugstore shampoo's. After doing a bit of reading, it was obvious why - because it's not full of the other harmful ingredients that drugstore shampoo's have which cause the excessive soap suds! As I worked this into my hair, I could physically feel it coating every strand. Nelson actually taught me all about silicone and the quantities in Windle & Moodie products in comparison to others.

The Ultra Nourishing Treatment Shampoo & Conditioner have small amounts of silicone in them to give that 'slippy' post shower silky hair. Nelson explained that most use large quantities of silicone which is bought in at a bulk price, whereas Windle & Moodie use a small quantity of high quality silicone, which obviously makes all the difference to the hair.

One use in, and I noticed significantly less shedding than I previously had, not to mention less irritation of my scalp - which from someone who has scalp psoriasis, is a deal breaker.

I normally need to wash my hair every second day, but after using this, one wash makes my hair feel clean for 4 days (all you fellow long haired girls - yes, this is a reality and no longer a dream!) and not to mention feels incredibly strong (especially when paired with the Windle & Moodie Foritfying Spray - more on that coming soon!)

I absolutely LOVE the brand and will forever be grateful to Nelson for introducing me to the brand!

ps - If you're a hairdresser or own a salon and are interested in stocking Windle & Moodie then you should know that Nelson comes as part of the package! As the educational ambassador, Nelson can teach you every technique and give you all of his expert advice on the brand.

  10. Sounds like a super brand. I have dreadlocks, so I don't use any products like this on my hair (just a simple soap bar), but if I had free flowing hair I'd definitely try it out!

  12. I like the sound of this shampoo and conditioner, especially because they don't have in their composition all the harmful ingredients as the ones in the drugstores. I am always looking for good shampoos that won't strip away the color from my hair but keep it healthy and strong in the same time.
