Why Every Girl Needs A Pair Of Ankle Boots...

We've all had those moments when we stare blankly at our shoes and feel tempted to throw on another pair of ballet flats, knowing that although they don't look like Louboutins they will definitely keep our feet blister free all day long.

Autumn is here, which can mean only one thing, long wet windy days consisting of Christmas shopping like a crazy fool will soon be upon us, which is why every girl needs a pair of ankle boots!

Every year, I invest in a good pair of ankle boots that I know I can wear throughout autumn/winter and look stylish throughout the season without having to wear heels or have soaking wet feet from wearing ballet flats.

Tips For Buying Ankle Boots

•  Always keep in mind when you will be wearing them. For example buying ankle boots with a 4 inch heel on them might not be ideal for a day of shopping but would be perfect to team with a knitted dress for an evening occasion.
• Comfort is key! Try them on before you buy them. Always keep in mind that over winter it's likely that you will be wearing socks so your normal width fitting might be a little neat - just try them on girls! don a catwalk in the middle of New Look, let's face it, we've all done it!
• Go neutral. If you go for a neutral colour (black, grey, brown) you are more likely to be able to team them with any outfit.
• Check the material - suede boots might look great but when it's raining your feet will be soaking! 

A good pair of ankle boots will last you for a long time, but if your budget is limited you could always check out places like Primark and New Look who have a lot of really good quality items but won't break the bank.

My boots are tan and have two zips on either side. They are leather and are actually in EEE fitting (wide - standard sizes are also available) I was actually given these as a gift from Simply Be so they didn't cost me anything, but these cost £55 from Simply Be.
