L'Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Review

L'oreal recently released their 'Infallible Matte' Lipsticks. I was luckily sent a few to try out so thought I would give my thoughts on them.

First of all, they look a lot like one of those Eyeshadow pencils you used to get from Avon where the product was in the lid and the sponge applicator gathered product every time you pressed the lid on. It was actually quite confusing to know if these were lip or cheek products as the packaging didn't really say anything about the product itself.

Moving on to the actual product itself. These are 100% matte. They apply much more like a stain than a lipstick. They are lightly pigmented, they don't really pack a huge punch in terms of colour pay off (but to be fair, I don't think they're designed to!) If you're looking for a subtle matte lip, these are the biz.

For me, they didn't really do enough and are quite drying on the lips. They claim to leave a velvet finish for up to 8 hours. "Up to" being the key part there - they did last around 5 hours for me which I was quite impressed by.

Of the three shades I was sent, I liked "Oops I pink it again 004" which is a fuschia pink. It goes on quite lightly on the lips and after building up the product you do get a slightly stronger pigmented finish.

Overall, I wasn't all that impressed with these. I probably wouldn't bother repurchasing them but will use up the ones I have.

Have you tried these out?

xx
