D.I.Y jewellery hanger

Hey everyone!

If you watch my videos you'll know how obsessed I am with DIY'ing. You'll probably also know how much I love vintage and so won't be surprised to know I made a vintage inspired jewellery hanging wall art. Sounds like a weird combo! Anyways, here's what I did!

1 - I had an old marilyn monroe wall canvas which had paint spilled on it, so I bought some vintage inspired printed fabric on ebay (a fat quarter) for about £1.50 you could probably use an old printed pillowcase or sheet if you have one.

2 - using drawing pins I secured the fabric onto the canvas, then using superglue from poundland (£1 for 10 tubes) I glued the edges down neatly on the back of the canvas.

3 - once dry, (5 mins) I took the drawing pins out and got to work!

4 - I had a few white drawing pins which blended well with my print so placed a few randomly over the canvas, hanging jewellery from each.

5 - Don't overload the canvas or it looks tacky! The trick is to use a few pieces, my canvas is large and so I used 10 pieces of jewellery on mine.

And you're done! In total (without the canvas, I already had that) I spent about £2 in total. You could use an old picture frame (remove the glass) or even a piece of cardboard!

I'm so pleased with how it turned out, what do you think?
