Real Techniques Review

Hey everyone!

So, i've been a little bit MIA lately because i decided to take a little break, blog and all, over Easter and spent some time with my family and friends.

Prior to going on this little hiatus, i was sent through some Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman makeup brushes. Now for all of you who dont know, Samantha Chapman is one half of pixiwoo! Pixiwoo is a blog and makeup channel with celebrity makeup tips, tricks and tutorials and Sam, and her sister Nic, are both lovely lovely girls. Sam released her own range of brushes, called "Real Techniques" and i've been desperate to get my hands on some so i was very happy when these popped on through the letterbox.

I was sent three brushes, the stippling brush, the setting brush and the expert face brush. So first thing's first, im gunna get started on the setting brush!

The setting brush is a pink handled fluffy brush which is ideally used for setting your makeup with a powder, or for sweeping on some highlighter. I used this mainly for powdering the sides of my nose, and for setting my concealer because it is a small brush, it is really easy to target small areas. The brush is hand cut and 100% cruelty free - Just FYI. You can buy this over at boots for £8.99!

Now this beaaaaut is the Expert Face Brush. The brush itself is really firm and broad, making this ideal for applying either liquid foundation or cream foundation. You can also use it for cream blushers and even for bronzers, such as the Mac cream bronzer or even the Bourjois Chocolate bronzer. Its a really really good brush and i think this is my favourite of the three! its really soft and smoothe and i just adore it. Kudos Sam!  You can buy this at boots for £9.99!

Last but by no means least, is the stippling brush. I was most excited to use this because i had heard soooo much about this. Looooads of bloggers hail this as their all time favourite brush, and i have to say i was not disappointed! The brush is firm, yet soft, the brush hairs are short, but long enough and i LOVE that i dont get loads of little dots on my face when i use this, unlike some other stippling brushes ive used. I reeeeally love this brush and its now my go to foundation brush, but still, the expert face brush is my fave! it was a close call between all three though ;)

The one thing about all of the brushes is that they can all stand by themselves - THANK GOD! Its so frustrating when you sit your brush down and you get makeup all over the worktop! amazing idea Sam!

Also, i didnt notice any shedding from any of these brushes, and having washed them all i can tell you they all wash brilliantly!

I looooove the real techniques range and would urge you all to go get these brushes while they are still reasonably priced! Love love love love LOVE!

What do you think of the real techniques brushes?
