Wedding Wonderful

Hey everyone!

Finding the perfect outfit to wear to a wedding can be tricky, and it can be even more tricky in the summer time. Everytime i go to a wedding i contemplate a maxi dress and then wonder if i should go short because i don't want to steal the bride and her bridesmaids thunder, but there is a way to wear a maxi dress without feeling or looking like part of the bridal party!

Here's an example of how to wear a maxi dress to a summer wedding. This dress is from Madam Rage and is a prime example of how it should be worn!

My sister, katy, is modelling the beautiful dress.

Rules of wearing maxi dresses to weddings include;-

- Avoid White and cream.
- If you know what colours the bridesmaids are wearing, try to avoid this.
- Satin and chiffon invariably are bridal materials, and as such you should avoid this!
- Wear your hair up or half up and down to give yourself a more formal look.
- You can also team your outfir with classic earrings and a bracelet to make the look more formal
- Wear heels, not sandals.

Weddings are fun and exciting for both the bride & groom and for everyone attending, so wearing something comfortable is vital to help you enjoy the entire event.  Maxi dresses are notoriously 'roomy' and also mean you don't need to wear tights (or shave your legs! woohoo!) meaning they are ideal for the occasion.
