Stick It - Lip "Sticks" worth having

Lip "Sticks" are all the rage right now and have been for a good year or two. By lip "sticks" I don't mean your typical type, I mean the ones you see that look like pencils and come in stick form. My explanations are really in depth right? Naaaattttt.

First of all, can we all please marvel at my creativeness for this post? I wrote "stick" using STICKS! Woaahhh creativity points x 100.

Detailed in said "Stick" are a few of my favourites that I think are worth having.

Starting with the "S";-

New Kid Lip & Cheek Tint in 'Strawberry Souffle'
This is more like a raspberry colour which has no shimmer and is a buttery formula. It has a 'cream sheen' type finish to it but stays on your lips all the day long which is something I always aim to find in a lip product.

Clarins Lip Balm Crayon in "Sweet Cherry" & "Soft Coffee"
These Lip balms are so pretty and can be worn anytime, day or night. The colours are buildable. With a light hand you get next to no coverage at all but if you layer them up you get a medium coverage. I wear these on a day to day basis. They are both shimmer free and smell amaaaazing.

Now for the "T"

Urban Decay Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Colour in "Punch Drunk" & "Naked"

In terms of pigmentation, these are the bee's knees. You get a lot of coverage out of one sweep on the lips, there is nothing subtle about these. I love the pigmentation and I love the shades (Punch drunk is an orange red and Naked is a brown toned nude) but what i dislike is the fact that these are bloodbath galore - you will get them on your teeth and chin without any doubt so to avoid that, I suggest blotting the colour then reapplying over the top. I don't know the science behind how it works, but it does!

Onto "I"

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in "005 Crush"
This is a purple plum colour, ideal for winter. I love wearing this over the winter because it has a balm like consistency which means when I have dry, chapped lips, this still glides over the top without getting the product gathering in one place.

Now for "C"

Nars "Floralies" Satin Lip Pencil
Nars are the shizz when it comes to lip pencils, they just get it right. This shade is an orangey nude which I normally dislike in enormous proportions (dramatic much?) but this one seems to match in with my skintone quite well for some reason. It glides on the lips and feels creamy without transferring. The only downside to the Nars lip pencils is the fact you need to sharpen them. Blah.

Clinique Baby Tint "Coming up Rosy"
I love the shade of this, it's a pretty rose like colour and has no shimmer in it. With that said, the formula of the baby tints isn't all that amazing for me. They are quite stubborn to get onto your lips and even building up will not get you a lot of pigmentation. I know this is probably the whole idea but I find them to be quite stubborn. For days when you're just chilling and eating dinner, these are perfect. Don't bother with them if you're looking for a good coverage though!

Finally, It's "K",

Stila Longwear Lip Colour in "Rendezvous"
This is a red toned brown or a brown toned red. As always my beauty blogging explanation skills are below zero! This is a really nice formula, it glides on to the lips and feels quite buttery. You get a high pigment from these which I love and they last aaaages. Also the fact that you can twist them up is a real bonus.

Models Own Colour Stix in "Very Berry"
Models own are always a brand who I considered to be a 'nail brand', so I never really contemplated trying out any of their lip products. Luckily, I was sent a few to try out and this one in "Very Berry" is my favourite.  This has a buildable coverage but even with one sweep you will get a decent coverage. It has a velvety finish which I really like.

Púr Minerals Lip Gloss Stick in "Game Day"
This is a dark lip stick that is nowhere near like a gloss in my opinion. Whilst the "gloss" thing is all wrong, the product is all right! I'm not into wearing dark shades often but this one is really nice - it's a browny purple colour and is quite intense if you don't blot any excess colour away. I like that this feels buttery without going all over my teeth. I would be quite keen to try other shades too!

There you have my Stick It Lip Sticks worth having selection blog post thingy!

Are you a fan of them? I am but I feel like the whole hype around them is getting a bit boring (a bit like the argan oil trend - snore!)

All My Love
