9 Things I love About September

September for me is a defining month of the year and I'm yet to speak to anyone who doesn't love it in one shape or form.

Here are 9 things I love about September:

1 - HELLO WINTER TV!
Aye ok, calm it, keep yer troos' on. I know it's not Winter, but the BEST TV starts in September - The Xfactor is back, Jonathan Ross, TOWIE, Made In Chelsea and the Bodyguard. Have you been watching it? Richard Madden.. Drool..

2 - THE WEATHER
I know a lot of you are going to shout abuse at me, but screw you all, I like Autumn AND winter way more than Summer weather. It's cool enough that I'm not sweating like I've been on a hike just carrying the shopping to the car and warm enough that I've not quite turned my electric blanket on yet. Yes, I am an eighty year old trapped in a 31 year olds body..

3 - FASHION
Bye bye bum hingin' out of short shorts and HELLO high waisted everything, black tights, knitted dresses and finally... BOOTS! they're so comfy and convenient, no-one needs a pedicure to wear them either, bonus!

4 - CANDLES
I can't lie, I've already lit a Pumpkin spice candle and I'm not even ashamed to admit it.

5 - DARK NIGHTS
I quite like it when it's pitch black outside by 8.30pm. I like feeling like it's acceptable to go to bed early when it's dark instead of whapping out the blackout curtains because it's still light out at 10pm and that's WAY past my bedtime. Obvs.

6 - DARKER MAKEUP
I was born with a red lip obsession and can't wait to rock out darker makeup now that it's 'socially' acceptable. Apparently looking like a 31 year old goth in June isn't cool..

7 - CHRISTMAS MOVIES
Obviously, this is a teeny bit premature but I've already watched Miracle on 34th Street & Elf. No shame.

8 - MUSIC
As much as I love some summer anthems, I don't think I can stand to listen to one more repetition of 'One Kiss' by Dua Lipa & Calvin Harris. I love that the whole 'vibe' is changing in september.

9 - MY BIRTHDAY
My birthday is on the 19th and as much as I HATE turning another year older, I love that I get to spend time with family & friends. I love being a virgo (sounds weird!) but I love that in September there's more 'Virgo' related products and fun things. I just like that it's a time where I have something to relate with others over - like I'm part of something that defines me and I'm meant to be. I have no idea if that makes sense or if it sounds as though I've had too much gin again. Either way, you get the drift...
