Fat Can Be Sexy!

I hate the word 'Fat'. More so, I hate being called 'fat'. I have fat, I am not 'fat'. That's like saying I am bones because I have bones. I am not bones. 😂

I am a big girl who is SICK and tired of being told by others that fat is unhealthy and looks disgusting. Guess what? Fat is not always unhealthy and fat CAN be sexy. 

At the weekend I was taking pictures of myself for this here wee corner of the web and found myself thinking "what angles can I use to look slim?"  Which is beyond ridiculous. I've already said on here that I'm trying to loose weight so that's not a headline for you, but I am sick of feeling ashamed of how I look because society says I should look a certain way.  Well society CAN KISS MY FAT ASS. 

I'm a UK size 20 and guess what? Guys fancy me as much as the next girl, I get people complimenting me as much as a size 10 girl and quite frankly the size of my effing bingo wings does not make me a different person to the size 10 girls. 

If I'm out in the club you can bet your ass I'm going to dress to impress and dance with my sisters the same as the next lass. Hell, I might even let a guy buy me a few drinks.THAT DOESNT MAKE THAT GUY A FAT ADMIRER OR A CHUBBY CHASER!!! Why shouldn't he like a girl because she's bigger than average? How boring would the world be if we all looked the same? I'd rather work it looking my unique self than be a replica of something else.

Everyone is individual, we need to stop allowing society from branding us as one group of people. We're women and we've shaped the world to look and be like it is. Guess what? The world is round, not flat! we're all different shapes and sizes. I may have the curves of the Scottish hills and you may have washboard abs like the streets of New York City but that does not mean that either of us is better or worse than the other. We are who we are and the sooner we all start being appreciative of our bodies and help empower each other as Women, the sooner society will adapt to us rather than us adapting to it.

Moving on from my rant, I decided to take a few pics of myself where I 'reveal' my bingo wings, I even show off my neck and shoulders. I added a black and white filter but they are otherwise un-photoshopped. I look alright in them. Do I think I look sexy? Not really, I'm working on it. I'm not going to feel like Ashley Graham every time I look at myself, but girls at a size 10 don't look at themselves and think they look like Kate Moss either.

It's OK to doubt yourself. It's alright to want to look different, but it's not alright to think you're ugly or are less of a person because you look different to the industry standards. You are beautiful, fat can be sexy and so can skinny, slim, black, white, green with yellow spots, gay, straight or transgender.
